Even seasoned fashion professionals are caught up in the excitement of seeing the 2013 styles, colours and fabrics under one roof at Hong Kong Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2013, held at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre in July 2012. And there will be a lot to see! Over 1,300 exhibitors are expected to come from more than 20 countries & regions, making this one of the most influential events in the region. At the last edition, over 23,000 buyers from 85 countries & regions were able to source from a wealth of new designs.
New zones expand choices in 2012
No fewer than four new zones will be launched. Two respond to heightened demand for quality accessories while another two look at burgeoning markets sectors. Salon of Scarves and Shawls - Over the last few seasons scarves and shawls have become indispensable to the complete fashion look. This zone will gather new and existing exhibitors with a wide range of innovative designs. Fashion Jewellery Feast - Call it costume jewellery, imitation jewellery, or fashion jewellery. Whatever the name, it is in high demand right now, from the less expensive, trendy pieces to the highest quality. Men in Style - The range of garments and accessories for men has never been greater or more creative. This zone will give buyers the chance to increase their market share. World of Youth Collection - Another booming market sector is made more accessible to buyers by grouping exhibitors of fashionable clothes for young people in one zone.

Exhibitors' Comments
“In the Fall/Winter 2011 edition, we successfully secured four new customers from Thailand, Spain and Turkey. This time, we’ve already met with over 30 buyers from different places including Hong Kong, Chinese mainland, Spain, UK and USA. We expect to establish contacts with up to 120 buyers at the fair for potential business development.” Shoko Nagata, Sales Manager, Pure Tone Co., Ltd., Japan “With 25 outlets nationwide in the Philippines, Banana Peel is the country's largest specialty retailer of flip flops. We've received many enquiries from customers including those from France and Hong Kong. We expect to conclude deals with at least 70 to 80 per cent of the business contacts we get from the exhibition.” Jenie D. Dongallo, Franchise Coordinator, Neat Inc., The Philippines “The response from buyers has been better than our expectation. Many visitors including those from Australia, USA, France and UK have expressed strong interest in our collections. Buyers' Comments
“My company specialises in fashion accessories, particularly all styles of handbags, and this is what I am primarily looking to source here. I will place orders during the fair - in fact, I have already made one order on the first day. This fair is excellent - it really is one of the best I have ever attended.” Rakesh Khandelwal, President, Ricki Designs Inc., USA “We are now the country's biggest TV-based, online and mobile shopping business with an annual turnover of about three trillion won. So far, about 10 new suppliers from India, Japan, Korea and Chinese mainland have been identified and we are planning to place orders. I like the fair very much. People are very kind and helpful here.” M.R. Shin, Manager, e-Fashion Business Team, CJ O Shopping, Korea “Lewre has currently own brand stores in over 10 countries worldwide. We work strategically with international designers including top designers in London and those in Hong Kong. At the fair, we've found several companies from India, Korea, Indonesia and Chinese mainland for the supply of leather goods, bags and fashion accessories. We wish to finalise US$200,000 to US$300,000 worth of business with them if everything goes well.” Dato' Lewre Lew Fong Voon, Creative Designer and Executive Chairman, Lewre International, Malaysia |
