“We have been exhibiting at this fair for five years and we still find it full of participants and buyers. This is the No.1 lighting fair in Asia Pacific and it is one of the main channels for us to meet with new clients. Our main target market is China and although our brand is quite well-known in the market, we want to aim high and further expand our business there. This year we are launching new, high quality lighting products at the fair to attract new customers and have already had some promising meetings with buyers from China, Spain, Germany, and other parts of Europe. “Brilliant Light Technologies works on a number of different government, university and hotel projects in Singapore and around Southeast Asia. We are currently working on a street lighting project and while we usually source suppliers and products online, we decided to attend the lighting fair this year for the first time. We’re aiming to expand our LED suppliers and the fair is a great way to meet new contacts. Depending on the scale of the project and the products necessary for our projects, we sometimes have small lot orders. However, due to increasing component prices we’re looking at larger quantities in an effort to reduce the unit price. This fair is both professional and international, and showcases a lot of LED products from different suppliers around the world. I will definitely come back next year.”

“I have been visiting the Hong Kong Lighting Fair for 10 years for my lighting business in Dubai. Each year the fair is well attended and I can always find some interesting products. This year I am specifically sourcing new, innovative lighting products with energy saving solutions and I am also interested in ordering LEDs from suppliers that I meet here. “Our company was founded in 1992 and we have become the largest lighting company in India. We offer commercial and outdoor lightings for new offices, factories, airports and stadiums. We came to this fair is to look for LEDs with lighting control and induction lamps. In the last two years LEDs have become popular in India. I have already met with six Asian suppliers during the first round of discussion at the fair. I like sourcing at trade fairs as I can see the real samples and meet potential suppliers face to face. This scale of this fair is large and there are many suppliers, as well as a range of interesting products. This is the right sourcing channel.”

“This is my first time to visit the Hong Kong Lighting Fair. I am very impressed by the quality of the suppliers who are here to showcase a variety of lighting products ranging from components to total lighting solutions. I came here to meet my current Asian partner to source more suppliers of electronic components and motion sensors from Chinese companies. We usually do our sourcing from Europe but because of the current crisis in Europe, we need to expand our supplier network so as to maintain our product’s quality and keep costs at a reasonable level. I also made good use of HKTDC’s business matching service to meet with a Chinese supplier this evening. I am happy with the overall organization of the trade fair. Good signs and services, clear announcements, and useful networking sessions make this fair successful.”

“We supply lighting products for supermarkets and homes in Russia and we usually do our sourcing in Russia and Germany. This is my first time to visit this trade fair and it’s large and very busy. It offers a concentrated trading platform for buyers to see as many products as possible and it’s easy to access each area. I have seen a number of interesting, quality products at this fair and also participated in the networking sessions to expand my network in Asia. I will definitely come back next year.”
