"We develop and manufacture measurement devices which are designed to control the quality of the printing process. The Chinese mainland is our biggest market, followed by Europe and the US. It is our first year at this fair. It is the right place for us to meet with our target customers who are from the mainland and find new dealers who can sell our devices in the mainland market. We have already received many enquiries from mainland buyers."

"Backed up by our parent, Leo Paper Group which has 30 years' experience in the printing industry, our company is a one-stop packaging solution provider that offers services from design, production, testing to logistics. Established in 2009, we export mainly Europe and the US. It is our first time exhibiting at this fair. In view of the growth potential in the Chinese mainland's packaging market, we want to ride on this fair to reach out to mainland buyers. Customers' responses are very good. So far, we have met with 60 new buyers, 50 per cent of whom came from the mainland and the rest from Europe and the US. We appreciate the follow-up services provided by the organisers. We are happy to participate in the open forum which is very helpful in promoting our packaging solutions to international buyers."

"We specialise in tooling, injection, coating, vacuum metallisation and assembly services for plastic products. Our major products include cosmetics boxes, electronics cases and confectionery boxes. As a first-time exhibitor, we have chosen the new De Luxe Zone because it is the perfect place for us to promote our corporate image as a high-end packaging producer. It is an effective platform for us to meet with so many international buyers. The number of buyers we've met is beyond our expectation. We've established contacts with buyers from Europe, Southeast Asia, the Chinese mainland and the US. Thanks to the organisers, they have done a lot of promotion such as press conference, online promotion and newspaper supplements. In view of good responses, we are planning to have a bigger booth in the De Luxe Zone next year."

"We manufacture microelectronic mechanisms for use in greeting cards and promotional items and supply large retailers in the US. We have partnered with Yash Ray Films, a major film studio in India, to launch licensed Bollywood products under our own brand – BollyXpress in August. This is our third year at the fair. Apart from promoting our OEM business, we are looking for distributors, retailers, licensors and partners for our BollyXpress collection. As we are the only exhibitor that has applied electronic feature to paper products, we have had a lot of interest in our video cards, especially buyers from Australia, Europe, South America, and the US. We have also talked to retailers from India and the UK who are interested in our BollyXpress collection. Business atmosphere here is very good and we are getting busier."

"We are the Hong Kong office within the Sun Studio network established by Russia's largest UV printers and inks manufacturer – Sun Innovations Company. We can print quality images on unconventional materials such as stones, wood, ceramic and furniture. Our clients include interior decoration companies and gifts and premium companies. We'll launch an online platform allowing consumers to place orders for our printing services. It is our first year at this fair. Many buyers are very excited about our technology - 50 per cent of the buyers come from Hong Kong, 40 per cent from the Chinese mainland and the rest from other countries. It is good because Hong Kong is our target market. We are very satisfied with the organisers' services as our printing services are promoted through different channels such as the Green Printing & Packaging Solutions Display Area, open forum and short video."

"Based in Taiwan, we have more than 30 years' experience in the label printing industry. This is our fourth year at this fair. We are promoting our label printing services and two new product lines - aluminum foil bags and shrink films which have attracted the attention of many buyers all over the world. In fact, we are one of the few companies in Asia that can produce aluminum foil bags and shrink films. We have had a lot of enquiries from serious buyers including those from Europe, Hong Kong, India, the Chinese mainland and the US. Some of them have already placed orders on the first morning of this show. At this fair, we make useful contacts that can turn into firm orders. And that's why we come here every year. I am also very impressed with the excellent services provided by the organisers."

"In business for 14 years, we are a printing company that produces school books, diaries and organisers for the Columbian market. This is our first year at this fair. We've come to this fair looking for paper, printing and cutting machines as well as printing vendors. We have already identified five paper suppliers and one printing company. We have collected some samples from potential suppliers here and we're going to visit their factories on the Chinese mainland before going back to Columbia. This is a good show with the participation of so many paper suppliers. It will be excellent if we can see more printing machine suppliers in the next show." |

"In business for 40 years, Lotte is Asia's no. 1 confectionary company. This is our first time attending this fair. We used to buy packaging materials through our agents in Korea, but the quality is not so good. So, we want to source packaging materials directly from reliable suppliers. I've come to this fair for the first time looking for new suppliers who can provide quality packaging materials. We are particularly interested in working with Hong Kong companies for better quality control. We have already identified some suitable suppliers for plastic cases and ice cream sticks. The business matching services offered by the HKTDC are also very useful. We've just had a fruitful meeting with a Hong Kong exhibitor. We like this fair because we have achieved the objective."

"We are a wholesaler of packaging materials and we supply large retailers who sell garments, home living products, gifts and premiums in the Netherlands. I have visited the fair for several times. I like this fair because there is a great concentration of packaging materials which makes it easier for me to locate the right suppliers. The goal at the fair is to get new packaging ideas, find new suppliers of bags and boxes, and meet with our existing suppliers. So far, I've met with some interesting suppliers which are new to our company. I'll collect more details from them in the coming weeks for further negotiations."

"We are a listed company in Thailand that operates 6,800 convenience stores under the 7-Eleven trademark throughout the country. Our annual budget for packaging materials is more than USD10 million. We have attended this fair for the first time to find packaging materials for the frozen food and chilled food under our own brands. We'll recommend suitable suppliers to our food vendors as well. We are going to place orders at this fair – our first order is around USD100,000 worth of plastic bags, soup cups and films, and we'll buy more if the quality is very good. As we have plans to increase the number of our 7-Eleven convenience stores to 10,000 in five years, our demand for packaging materials is increasing. With so many packaging exhibitors all under one roof, the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair certainly fulfils all my sourcing needs."

| 5. | "We are a leading Moutai wine producer in the Chinese mainland with an annual business turnover exceeding RMB37 million. Our wine production is mainly for domestic consumption. As Moutai wine has become a popular gift, our customers like elegantly-designed gift boxes. Our annual spending on packaging is about RMB3 million. This is our second time visit to this fair. So far, we have identified two suppliers for high-end packaging and one vendor for security labels. We'll have further discussions with the suppliers on our special requirements. We like the new De Luxe Zone which showcases luxury packaging. We hope to see more exhibitors in this zone next year as packaging makes the first impression of any product. In future, we'll use green yet elegant packaging as customers are more conscious about environment protection." "We are a fully integrated agricultural company which is listed on the Philippine Stock Exchange. We engage in the manufacture and distribution of fresh fruits, vegetables and beverages. Apart from the domestic market, we export to Canada, Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland, the Middle East and the US. It is my first time visit to this fair. I am particularly looking for packaging materials for juice and beverage production. The Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair is a very specialised and informative show. We've seen a lot of potential here especially in the creativity and innovation being demonstrated by the exhibitors. We've found a very good supplier here and we're planning to place orders." |
