“Established in 1992, our company specialises in advertising and commercial printing services. Currently, 60 per cent of our customers are local companies, 30 per cent from Macau and 10 per cent from the Chinese mainland. It is our sixth year at this fair. Our goals of joining this fair are to promote our printing services and to look for new customers. So far, we have met with many buyers from Australia, Belgium, the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macau and the US. We are confident of receiving new orders after the fair. We are a regular at this fair because the new contacts we’ve made here every year generate about HK$3 million worth of orders.”

"Established in 1972, our company specialises in the production of soft packaging for food products. It is our third year at this fair. This year, we are showcasing two new packaging products including square-bottom pouches and de-metallised aluminium film. Responses from both new and existing buyers have been very good. We have met many prospective buyers from Southeast Asia especially those from Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam. It'll take at least six months for us to discuss with prospective buyers before we can finalise the deals. The Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair is an ideal platform for us to make new contacts and secure new orders. Total orders we received from new buyers at last year's fair amounted to HK$500,000 and we have developed long-term business relationships with them."

“Established in the US two years ago, our company specialises in the design, development and production of counterfeit-proof tags and labels. Currently, Europe and the US are our biggest markets. This is our first-time exhibition at this fair. We want to introduce our counterfeit-proof solutions to international buyers. Just on the first day of this fair, more than 50 buyers from Asia, Europe, the Middle East, South America and the US have shown great interest in our counterfeit-proof products. We expect that about 20 per cent of these new contacts will be turned into tangible orders. The fair results are much better than our expectations.”

“Founded in 1985, our company is a specialist manufacturer of paper bags, gift bags, packaging boxes and gift boxes, with Europe being our major market. We have been exhibiting at the Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair since its inception eight years ago. We like this fair because it is an international trade event that attracts many professional buyers. More importantly, some of our large European customers came from this fair. At this year’s fair, we have met with new buyers from all over the world including those from Australia, Canada, Italy, the Middle East, Singapore and the US. We’ll follow up with them after the fair to understand their requirements. We are very satisfied with the fair results. As the fair is a major event for us to expand our export business, we’ll continue our participation in this fair.”

“Headquartered in Germany, our company has more than 130 years’ experience in providing packaging and display solutions for FMCG brands. The Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair is an important event of its kind in the Asia-Pacific region that attracts quality buyers from all over the world. That’s why we have exhibited at this fair for the second time. We are targeting exporters and brand owners. So far, we have met with buyers from Australia, the Chinese mainland, Europe, Taiwan and the US. It is very likely that we’ll have cooperation with a wine producer from Australia, a sportswear company from the Chinese mainland and a baby products manufacturer from Taiwan. We’ll have further discussions with these companies after the fair.”

“We are the sole distributor of branded computer products in the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Macau. It is our third year at this fair. This year, we are displaying wide-format printers and cutters, UV-LED ink jet printers and 3D printers. We have met with many mainland buyers, especially those from Beijing, Guangdong Province and Zhejiang Province. As it takes some time for buyers to learn more about the specifications of our products, we expect to receive orders after the fair. The Hong Kong International Printing & Packaging Fair provides a good opportunity for us to promote our printing equipment to new buyers from a wide spectrum of industries. As this fair is held concurrently with the HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair, it has generated more business opportunities for exhibitors like us.” |

“We are a packaging company that supplies paper bags and boxes, woven and non-woven bags as well as satin ribbon to retail shops in France. We usually source packaging materials from France, Italy, Spain and the Chinese mainland. This is our second time visiting this fair. The fair is an ideal sourcing platform because there is a good concentration of printing and packaging suppliers. This year, we are particularly looking for paper boxes and chocolate boxes. So far, we have met with nine suppliers. It’s likely that we’ll work with one or two of these suppliers. Quality is our top priority when we choose our suppliers. So, we’ll visit their factories to check the quality of their products before confirming our partnership with them.” |

“Based in Vietnam, our company has more than 20 years’ experience in building and managing high-class retail outlets. Currently, we operate 17 luxury stores and six supermarkets in Vietnam. This is our first visit to this fair. We are particularly looking for barcode printers, card printers and scanners. The HKTDC’s business matching service is very useful. So far, we have met with three good suppliers from Hong Kong. They have promised to send us the quotations soon. If their prices are reasonable, we’ll place orders. In fact, the contacts we’ve made at this fair will be very important to our business expansion as we’ll open 20 supermarkets by 2015.”

“We are a manufacturer of bakery products and pastries with 90 outlets in Chengdu and Hangzhou on the Chinese mainland and Taiwan. Last year, we opened six outlets in Malaysia and we’ll open one more outlet next month. As consumers are more sophisticated, we are not just providing good-tasting food but also putting greater efforts on packaging design. We have come to this fair for the first time to see the latest packaging ideas and advanced packaging technologies. We have found potential suppliers who can provide unique packaging designs for moon cakes and also iron boxes. After the fair, we’ll check their credibility, prices and terms of payment. This is a good fair. We’ll come again next year.”

“In business for more than 20 years, Oxford Communications offers printing, creative, logistical and promotional products and services. This is my first time visiting the fair. I am particularly looking for recycled and recyclable composite fiber boards, formcore, corflute, synthetic products, adhesive vinyl and recycled paper. Currently, these materials are imported from Europe and South Africa, so I want to find cheaper alternatives from Asian suppliers here. I am very satisfied with this fair because I have already found two potential suppliers for all the materials that I need. I have asked them to send me samples and quotations. Meanwhile, I am looking for new printing vendors at this fair and I hope to find suitable suppliers soon.”

| 5. | “Based in Thailand, we produce luxury spa products, personal care products, cosmetics and home fragrance which are exported to 27 countries and regions. We also provide spa services in Australia, New Caledonia, Spain and Thailand. Packaging is very important to add value to our products and to attract customers. This is the first time we’ve attended this fair. We are looking for cosmetics boxes, gift boxes, shopping bags and labels. We are very impressed with the quality and the range of printing and packaging solutions on offer at this fair. Apart from meeting existing suppliers, we’ve identified more than ten interesting suppliers that we can work with. We’ll let them know our requirements and specifications after this fair. “We are the distributor of canned food and canned drinks under the ICE COOL brand in Singapore. Our canned drinks are made in Malaysia and Thailand while our canned food is produced on the Chinese mainland. It is my first-time visit to this fair. I am looking for innovative packaging products as well as printing and promotional materials like stands and collaterals. I have found six prospective suppliers from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and Japan. I am waiting for them to send me more product information and quotations. It is a good fair and I hope to see more suppliers at this fair next year.” |
