“Our company is an importer and distributor selling mainly Italian red wines and sparkling wines to a broad base of customers such as hotels, restaurants, supermarkets and VIPs. We visit the Hong Kong fair every year. I like the fair as it offers a balanced mix of wines from different places of the world. The organiser is really doing a good job. This year, I have found five to six potential partners for the supply of wines from Spain, France, Chile and Argentina to support our business expansion. I will place orders worth between HK$500,000 and HK$1 million.”

“We are a family-run business established 75 years ago. We have 19 of our own outlets, an importing division that supplies the trade, and a concession department with 266 wine outlets in supermarkets across the Philippines. This is my first time to visit this fair. I want to see what’s new in the market – wine accessories, new wines and new packaging in particular. I am also visiting some existing suppliers to see what they have available. I’ve already seen some interesting things such as sparkling wine from Spain. I also came across a rum producer that I have communicated with electronically but didn’t have idea with them– but now I’ve met them in person at the fair, they inspired me and I will do business with them. This fair is very professional. The organisation is good. I think I will be back next year.”
