- “Based in Taiwan, we specialise in designing and manufacturing GPS products. Our products are exported to worldwide markets, with Europe being our biggest market. We hope to find new buyers from Central and Southern America and Russia. We participate in the Expo every year as it provides an excellent platform for us to promote our new products to international buyers and also to take orders. This year, we have launched two new models for GPS tracking systems which are designed to prevent car theft. Our GPS products are very unique in the market and that’s why they have drawn a lot of interest from buyers.”

- “This is our fourth time participation in the Expo. In the past, we promoted our IT outsourcing services, but this year we focused on introducing our sophisticated cloud backup service that offers three-layer encryption to protect data security. We have received very good responses. This new service has aroused strong interest from Mainland buyers as well as overseas buyers from Malaysia and the UK. HKTDC has done a good job in setting up dedicated zones for cloud computing, which help buyers locate exhibitors easily. Also, we are very impressed with the excellent support services provided by HKTDC.”

- “As a research institute, we have strong R&D capabilities to develop new technologies for cost-competitive transfer to companies. Our technologies are transferred to many companies all over the world, most of which have production bases or partners on the Chinese mainland. At last year’s Expo, we achieved very good results, so we return this year with a bigger booth showcasing our interactive technologies such as optical multi-touch panel, portable 3D pico projector and ultra-thin double-sided LCD display, which generated a lot of enquiries from mainland companies. Our electronic white boards are also well-received by customers who are looking for educational software. We are very satisfied with the results so far.”

- “We are an Australian group specialising in the production of computers. Two companies under our group - Dream Industrial Pty. Ltd. and Pioneer Computers Australia Pty. Ltd. - are participating at the Expo to showcase our latest models of industrial computers and personal computers. To meet our sales target of two million sets of computers for this year, we have planned to join four international fairs including the International ICT Expo to find new customers and also meet with existing customers. At this Expo, we have met more buyers from emerging markets like the BRIC countries and Indonesia which offer promising growth potential. Buyers are particularly interested in our smartphones, tablets and ultra-slim notebooks.”
Jeff Li, Manager, Pioneer Computers Australia Pty. Ltd, and Dream Industrial Pty. Ltd., Australia
- “Nokia launched the first Windows phone last year. In view of increasing demand for apps, we have joined hands with Microsoft to launch the Developer Programme which aims to teach people how to create apps and publish them on Windows apps marketplace. We are participating at the Expo to let visitors know more about our Developer Programme and recruit new members. We’ve received many enquiries not just from local visitors but also from overseas visitors. We’ll refer overseas visitors’ enquiries to relevant branch offices. A number of local visitors have signed up for the programme on the first two days of the fair and I expect more people to join on the next two days. The services and facilities provided by HKTDC are excellent.”

- “We have been exhibiting at the Expo for many years. This year, we focus on promoting our one-stop cloud solutions. We highly appreciate that HKTDC has set up a dedicated zone for ‘Business Apps on Cloud and Mobile’ this year to meet the needs of industry players. As cloud apps are a hot issue for enterprises, the new zone is very effective in attracting visitors to come to our booth. We have met with many buyers from Singapore, India, the Chinese mainland and Hong Kong. And we have had serious discussions with those buyers who want us to develop cloud systems for their clients.”
Alan Kan, Chief Executive Officer, Cloud Business Applications Limited, Hong Kong
- “We are exhibiting here for the first time because it is an excellent opportunity for us to show our advanced 3D technologies and solutions to a large number of buyers visiting the Hong Kong Electronics Fair and the International ICT Expo. We focus on promoting 3D CAD software, 3D printer and 3D plastic mould design solutions. This is a high-quality show – we have met decision-makers coming from different industries such as mould-making, electronics, toys and telecommunications. We also met buyers from the Chinese mainland, the US, Europe and Russia. Though it is our first time here, everything has gone so smoothly with the assistance from the organiser who takes care of all the details.”
Hugo Wong, Assistant Marketing Manager, Intelligent CAD/CAM Technology Ltd., Hong Kong
- “In business for more than a decade, we are committed to developing supply chain management solutions. At the Expo, we have launched an intelligent yet low-cost management solution which has incorporated the facial recognition technology for attendance records, security access control and verification. Besides, we are promoting other solutions for customer traffic management and QR marketing management. The Expo provides an ideal platform for us to promote our new services and also to reach out to our target customers who are retailers, chain store operators or IT service providers looking for management solutions or partnerships. In addition to local and mainland buyers, we’ve met buyers not just from Southeast Asia such as Taiwan and Malaysia but also from the US, Europe and India. We are very happy with the results achieved so far.”
Connie Yeung, Marketing Executive, Netideas Limited, Hong Kong
- “City University of Hong Kong takes part in the Expo every year. It is a perfect platform to showcase our achievements in scientific research and the latest technologies developed by us. Our goal is to promote technology transfer that can benefit industry players. At this year’s Expo, we have received more enquiries about our RFID technology, especially from mainland visitors. Apart from promoting our latest technologies, the Expo is also an effective channel for us to exchange ideas with industry players on the development of new technologies. It is one of the best ICT shows we’ve ever attended in Southeast Asia.”
Tomson Lee, Senior Technology Transfer Officer & Manager, CityU Business & Industrial Club, Knowledge Transfer Office, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong
- “Our company focuses on research and development of IC products for the communications industry. At the Expo, we are displaying two distinct and innovative technologies – high-speed transceivers and cable modem systems. Currently, our high-speed transceivers are exported mainly to server farms in the US while cable modem systems are being deployed in the China market. This is our first participation at the Expo. We want to make use of this Hong Kong platform to develop new markets. Buyers from India, Indonesia, Mexico and Africa have shown interest in our cable modem systems which are low-cost yet reliable solutions for hotels, schools, hospitals and TV operators. Some of the buyers have placed trial orders here.”
