“Headquartered in Japan, our company was a first-time exhibitor at Sports Source Asia. At this fair, we highlighted our compression underwear which is effective in reducing muscle oscillation during exercise while improving muscle endurance and strength. Our main goal of joining this fair was to develop overseas markets. We have a high opinion of Sports Source Asia as it is one of the few trade fairs in the world focusing on sports apparel. More importantly, this fair is an effective channel for us to reach out to international markets as we met with more overseas buyers than the two Japanese trade fairs that we join every year. During the three-day fair, we established new contacts with about 70 companies including those from Australia, the Chinese mainland, Egypt, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Italy and Malaysia. We are following up with new contacts by providing them with samples, quotations and minimum order requirements. We are confident that we’ll receive orders from them soon.”

“Tinjo specialises in developing high quality, water-resistant, trendy and elegant audio products for sports or outdoor activities. This was our first-time participation in Sports Source Asia. In this fair, we aimed at promoting our brand, introducing our design concepts, testing market response and collecting buyers’ feedback before starting mass production. The fair results were beyond our expectations. We were very busy with enquiries from buyers throughout the fair period. We received more than 100 new business contacts including distributors, chain stores, department stores, fitness centres, premium companies and online shops, which were not just from Hong Kong but also from the Asia-Pacific region such as Australia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand and Singapore. About 30 per cent are likely to place orders for our products. The environment and services at the fair were very good. We have decided to join next year’s fair to further promote our brand and show more new products to attract orders.”

“Based in Poland, BatSport Sp z o.o. has 10 years’ experience in producing table tennis and fitness goods, but we also purchase sporting goods from the Chinese mainland. We supply hypermarkets and sporting goods stores. Two years ago, we also started to sell our goods to consumers via our internet shop. As our market is constantly changing, we have to enlarge the variety of our products to meet clients’ needs. For example, this year we started to sell new items such as water sports goods and dart. We visited Sports Source Asia for the first time to look for something new for our market. We’re particularly interested in fitness goods, skates and water sports goods. Generally speaking, we’re very satisfied with the organisation of this fair and the range of sporting goods on offer. Exhibitors were well prepared and brought many new products to the fair. After meeting with 12 interesting exhibitors mostly from the Chinese mainland, we have identified two exhibitors as potential suppliers because they are able to offer competitive prices, good quality and tailor-made designs. We just started talking to these two potential suppliers. AsiaWorld-Expo is a good location to host this fair – everything is situated very close to each other, like airports, hotels and the exhibition halls, so we don’t waste our time on moving from one part of the city to another. Sports Source Asia will be a key event in our calendar.”

“Founded in 2010, Gorgeous First Sdn Bhd now operates five fitness clubs in Malaysia. Our mission is to provide the latest scientific and effective training programmes to the satisfaction of our customers. This was our first time attending this fair because we wanted to explore and experience different international exhibitions and to look for new suppliers of fitness equipment. It has been a good experience for our company as the fair brought together exhibitors from different countries and regions. At this fair, we met with about 15 exhibitors, mostly from the Chinese mainland and Taiwan. We have formed a partnership with a dealer for the supply of fitness equipment and further negotiations are being held. We’re happy with all the arrangements made by the organiser for our Hong Kong trip. We hope to visit the fair again in 2013 to find exciting exhibitors from different countries and regions selling different kinds of fitness equipment.”
