WHAT: The mission offers first-hand insights into the business environment and opportunities available in northwest Africa’s economic powerhouses of Morocco and Egypt. It’s also an opportunity to promote Hong Kong consumer products.
WHEN: 27 February-6 March 2010
WHO: Participants with businesses in watches and clocks, textile fabrics, household electrical appliances, electronics, and electrical equipment and electrical components are invited to apply.
Twenty delegates will be selected on a first-come, first-served basis.
WHY: Egypt is the largest and most sophisticated market in North Africa, while Morocco’s GDP per capita is similar to that of the Chinese mainland.
The week-long trip, organised with the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce, will include a market-overview seminar, industry briefings and a networking luncheon with potential buyers. There will also be business-matching opportunities with local enterprises and visits to Arabic retail/wholesale markets.
