Hong Kong International Tea Fair video

WHAT: The seventh edition of the Hong Kong International Tea Fair will feature products from major tea-producing and tea-trading regions, including the Chinese mainland, India, Japan and Sri Lanka. This year’s event will gather more than 270 exhibitors from nine countries and regions.

WHEN: 13-15 August 2015

WHO: Exhibitors will feature products in the following categories: processed tea and tea products, tea packaging, tea-processing equipment and testing service, tea ware, tea technology and tea media.

A tea strainer that chirps like a bird as well as devices making everything from sorbet to soba joined food products from around the world at concurrent trade fairs held in Hong Kong in August 2014. Nearly 1,500 exhibitors from dozens of countries and regions were on hand for the mouth-watering events, including the HKTDC Food Expo, Tea Fair and the inaugural Home Delights Expo

WHY: China is the world’s largest tea-producing country, while Hong Kong has the highest per-capita tea consumption in Asia.

Fair highlights will include a tea competition and tea-tasting sessions, while experts will discuss trends, branding and marketing strategies at the Tea Forum Series.

Open to the public on the last day, the fair will be held alongside the HKTDC Food Expo, and the International Conference and Exhibition of the Modernization of Chinese Medicine and Health Products, and the Home Delights Expo.

WHERE: Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Hong Kong

And You Can Quote Me: “This is my first visit to the HKTDC Hong Kong International Tea Fair to source different types of tea products. I am very impressed with the interesting mix of exhibitors and products on display here. So far, I’ve found six potential suppliers from the Chinese mainland and Sri Lanka for various items, including green tea, oolong tea and black tea. This is an excellent fair and I will definitely come again.” (Khaled Fourati, Managing Director, Chazana, South Africa, talking about last year’s fair.)
