Eco Expo Asia video

WHAT: “Green Solutions for a Changing Climate” is the theme of this year’s Eco Expo Asia, the region’s leading event in the thriving environmental protection industry.

WHEN: 26-29 October 2016

WHO: Exhibitors will showcase their products under such categories: air quality, energy efficiency and energy, waste management and recycling, eco-friendly products, environmental protection solutions and service, and green building solutions and service.

Some 310 exhibitors from 18 countries and regions took part in the 10th Eco Expo Asia, held 28-31 October 2015, where companies explored how the Chinese mainland’s new Belt and Road initiative can open doors for green tech across the region

WHY: The Chinese mainland is poised to become the world’s-largest sustainable development and environmental protection market. In the 13th Five-Year Programme, the Chinese mainland has pledged to drastically reduce CO2 emissions and increase the use of non-fossil fuels to 15 per cent of the total energy mix by 2020. Coupled with greater economic integration spurred by the Belt and Road Initiative, the cumulative investment on non-fossil fuels and low-carbon technologies in the country is forecast to exceed US$6.26 trillion by 2030.

Leading international scholars will host in-depth discussions on environmental topics at the fair’s Eco Asia Conference.

WHERE: AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong

And You Can Quote Me: “Rieckermann is a German company and an international industrial solution provider. Our service portfolio covers the entire value chain and industrial plant developments as well as waste management solutions. This is our first time here and we aim to meet overseas and local companies that we can work with. On the very first day, we have already met as many as 15 companies from Germany, Hong Kong and the Chinese mainland that have great business potential. The fair is international and professional with the presence of overseas brands and visitors. It is a perfect place for obtaining information on the latest policies, technology know-how and new market trends related to topics such as air filtering, water filtering and waste energy. We are impressed by the international profile of the exhibitors, including those from Japan, the UK, and China as well as their exhibits. The trip has proven to be very fruitful.” (Christoph Nicklaus, Business Development Manager, Rieckermann Industrial Technologies (Shanghai) Co Ltd, Germany, talking about last year’s fair.)
