Hong Kong International Building & Hardware Fair
WHAT: Showcasing building materials, hardware and related technology, the fair is a leading event for industry players, featuring the products, expertise and services of companies from Hong Kong, the Chinese mainland and around the world.
WHEN: 26-29 October 2016
WHO: Exhibitors will showcase their products in such categories: BIM & Building Technology, Building and Decorative Hardware and Green Building Materials.
The BIM & Building Technology zone responds to one of the hottest topics in the industry, featuring BIM (Building Information Modeling), software and consultancy services, while the Building Technology zone focuses on smart living technology, with a variety of safety and security systems and HVAC&R systems and equipment. The Green Building Materials zone caters to suppliers of products with elements from sustainable sources, or that are energy-efficient.
Last year’s event featured 160 exhibitors and attracted nearly 12,000 buyers from 98 countries and regions.
WHY: The fair is an important sourcing point for Asia, dovetailing with Hong Kong’s role as a key player in the import/export of hardware and building materials. In 2015, Hong Kong exported US$16.6 billion of such products to the world’s markets, with the Chinese mainland, the United States and Japan as the top three markets.
Eco Expo Asia and the HKTDC Hong Kong International Outdoor and Tech Light Expo are concurrent and co-located at the AsiaWorld-Expo, attracting more buyers from related fields.
The HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) will be held 27-30 October at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
WHERE: AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong
And You Can Quote Me:
“This is my first visit to the Hong Kong International Building and Hardware Fair. I’ve found at least 10 potential suppliers for various products, including innovative easy-to-assemble flooring installation solution, sound-proofing materials and special marble-effect paints. I also spotted some interesting offerings, such as smart toilet control and drain water management system at Eco Expo Asia. I expect to place big orders upon successful negotiation. The business-matching meeting and guided services has allowed me to source products more efficiently.” (Steven Yin, Assistant Contract Manager, Ban Lee Hin Group, Malaysia, talking about last year’s fair.)
