WHO: Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council. Last year it drew over 1,000 exhibitors and nearly 20,000 buyers.
WHY: More than just a wine fair, this event attracts trade buyers, wineries, importers and distributors, sommeliers, hoteliers and restauranteurs, wholesalers and consumers all under one roof. Hong Kong serves as a wine hub in Asia, particularly for the Chinese mainland. The industry is growing strongly in Asia, while demand is flat in the traditional European and North American markets. The Wine & Spirits Fair offers an ideal opportunity to tap into this trend.
WHERE: Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, 1 Expo Drive, Wan Chai, Hong Kong
AND YOU CAN QUOTE ME: "Founded in 1880, Domaine Duveau is a well-established wine producer [with] origin from France. We are participating in the Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair for the second consecutive year. The customer profile of the wine fair is amazing. This year, we've met with over 100 new customers involving a broad base of buyers from various parts of the Chinese mainland. We have got a confirmed order from a buyer from Guangzhou for three containers of red wines and a Shanghai customer ordered two containers of red wines on the second day of the fair. The business this year is robust and we estimate the sales got at least a 20%-30% increment compared to last year."
