HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair

WHAT: The 45th edition of the HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair showcases fun and educational products and services for all ages. Theme zones are the Brand Name Gallery, Smart-Tech Toys and Kidult World (hobby goods, magic items, models and figurines, action and war game items). Exhibit profiles include educational toys and games; electronic and remote-control toys; multiple toys products; outdoor and sporting goods; paper products and toy packaging; pet toys; festive and party items; smart-tech toys; soft toys and dolls; testing, inspection and certification; and fireworks. Exhibitors can take part in product demo and launch-pad sessions where they can meet interested buyers. Events such as the Networking Reception and a programme of seminars create further industry engagement.

For trade visitors aged 18 or above only; admission fee is HK$100 per person.

More than 49,000 buyers from 126 countries and regions came to the 2018 fair to meet 2,100 exhibitors.

WHO: Organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council

WHY: The Asia-Pacific market is avid for toys and games and the fair presents the ideal opportunity to engage with this market. Offering the year’s first chance to trade, the show gives a unique first-mover advantage. As Asia’s largest event of its kind, the exhibition attracts buyers from all over the world. In 2018, 77.22% of the buyers from outside Hong Kong came from Asia, 10.92% from Europe, 4.53% from North America, 2.69% from the Middle East, 2.45% from Latin America, 1.53% from Australia and the Pacific Islands and 0.66% from Africa. Of the buyers, 34.6% were importers/exporters, 16.2% wholesalers/distributors, 9.9% manufacturers, 9.7% service companies, 7.2% independent retailers, 7.1% e-tailers, 6.6% buying offices, 3.6% chain stores, 2.8% department stores and 1.1% franchisers.
