| Introduction |
Located in Baoji, the Baoji High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Baoji HIDZ) was established and approved by the State Council in November 1992 as a state-level development zone.
Baoji HIDZ consists of a New Area and a Science and Technology Pioneering Park and occupies an area of 21 sq km. |
| Investment Climate |
In 2009, Baoji HIDZ realized GDP of RMB 24 billion, accounting for 30% of the city’s total. During the same year, the gross industrial output of the zone rose 30% to RMB 74 billion.
As of the end of 2010, there were more than 2800 enterprises settled in Baoji HIDZ, of which 52 had sales exceeding RMB 100 million, and 10 exceeding RMB 1 billion.
Pillar industries in Baoji HIDZ include titanium alloy deep processing, petroleum machinery manufacturing, and numerical control machine manufacturing.
In 2007, the “Baoji Titanium Valley of China” was established as one of 50 national industrial clusters by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China. By the end of 2010, Baoji HIDZ is expected to have an annual titanium-processing capacity of 11,000 tons and to realize total industrial output of RMB 15 billion, gaining a 95% share of the domestic market and a 10% share of the global market.
Baoji HIDZ focuses on industries such as mechanical and electronic integration, new materials, biopharmaceuticals and advanced equipment manufacturing. By the end of 2010, Baoji HIDZ is expected to realize GDP of RMB 23 billion, while the total foreign trade is expected to reach US$600 million. |
