Bedding Products Market Inspection Focused More Attention on the Labeling of Product Standards

Recently, the Pingyi County Bureau of Quality and Technical Supervision, Shangdong Province conducted a sampling inspection on bedding products including bedspreads, quilt covers, pillows, etc. The results revealed that 16 batches of the total 20 batches inspected passed the inspection with a pass rate 80%, and the items failed were fiber content, labeling, formaldehyde and pH value.
Incorrect labeling accounted for 20% of total failures and aroused attention of the related authorities and the companies. The main reasons for failures were illegal fiber name, missing quality grade and wrong or expired product standards.
