Vol 32#5 : Aviation body gets 3 new members

Three new members have been appointed to the Aviation Development Advisory Committee for two years from September 1. The chairman, vice-chairman and 11 other incumbent members have also been reappointed for the same period.

The new members are Andrew Brandler, Allan Wong and Anthony Wong.

The reappointed members are Secretary for Transport & Housing (chairman), Permanent Secretary for Transport & Housing (Transport) (vice chairman), Elizabeth Bosher, Philip Chen, Kelvin Leung, Willy Lin, Liu Pak-wai, James Tien, Joseph Tung, Peter Wong, Chief Executive Officer of the Airport Authority (ex-officio), Executive Director of the Trade Development Council (ex-officio) and Director-General of Civil Aviation (ex-officio).

Ms Eva Cheng, JP, Secretary for Transport and Housing, joined the Administrative Service in August 1983 and rose to the rank of Administrative Officer Staff Grade A1 in April 2007. Ms Cheng has served in various bureaux and departments, including the former Economic Services Branch, the Correctional Services Department, the former Secretariat of the Standing Commission on Civil Service Salaries and Conditions of Service, the former Education and Manpower Branch, the former Transport Branch and the former Financial Secretary's Office. 

The Government said given their expertise and background, members will be best placed to advise on key policy matters on Hong Kong civil aviation, particularly measures to promote the city's status as an international and regional aviation centre.
