Speaking at the opening ceremony last night for Entertainment Expo Hong Kong, Jack So, Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Hong Kong Film Development Council, noted that the Expo’s core activities are centred around the film industry, including FILMART, which opened yesterday with a record 600 exhibitors from 30 countries. “FILMART has become one of the three biggest film markets in the world,” said Mr So. “This encouraging trend is to a large extent propelled by the strong growth of the film industry, as well as the cinema market in the Chinese mainland”
