European Commission Published Draft Proposal for RoHS and WEEE Directive
The European Commission (EC) issued "Proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (recast)" and "Proposal for a Directive of the European Parliament and of the Council on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) (recast)" on December 3rd, 2008 to revise the current EU RoHS (2002/95/EC) and WEEE (2002/96/EC).
