We are a semi-Government organisation established in 1966 to promote international trade with Hong Kong. Our services are impartial and offered without commitment to companies in the U.K.

A:  Both! The Council’s main portal was launched in 2000 and averages over 4 million hits per day. It has rapidly become an indispensable resource for all parties involved in trade with Hong Kong and China.

Q: Where can I find background information on a Hong Kong company?
A: TDC maintains a database of over 100,000 companies based in Hong Kong. We are not a association and how no membership as such, our aim being to embrace as many companies as we can, with special emphasis on SMEs. Our database provides general background information but we do not supply credit references or information on financial status.

Q: Can I visit your Office?

A: You are very welcome! Please Contact Us to make an appointment. We are open from 9 am until 1 pm and 2 pm to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
Our office is in the Mayfair district of London, close to Park Lane and Oxford Street. By public transport, the nearest stations are Marble Arch on the Central Line and Bond Street on the Central and Jubilee lines. Hyde Park Corner on the Piccadilly line is a 20-minute walk. All buses that travel down Oxford Street and Park Lane are suitable and taxis will know the location Map. You may wish to use the Transport for London Web site to plan your journey.

If you have a Video Conferencing facility, we welcome the opportunity of “meeting” you via this facility but please phone us first to arrange an appointment and ensure that an appropriate adviser is available. Our Video Conference number can be found on the Contact page.

Q: Is there an Association I can join?

Q: Do I need a visa to visit Hong Kong?
A: British citizens may visit Hong for up to 180 days visa-free, British Overseas Territories citizens, British Overseas citizens, British subjects and British Protected persons for up to 90 days. For any other nationality please visit the Hong Kong Immigration Department website.
Please note that Hong Kong has strict and efficient immigration controls.
