Hong Kong’s advantages as a centre for licensing business will be highlighted at Brand Licensing Europe 2009. The fair will be held in The Grand Hall, Olympia, London on Wednesday 30 September and Thursday 1 October.
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council, located on Stand 220, will provide information on opportunities for UK companies in Hong Kong, and operate a business matching service that can put enquirers in touch with potential suppliers, customers or business partners.
Hong Kong’s role as a leading international licensing centre is based on a combination of important factors. These include strong intellectual property rights protection, the rule of law and a transparent business culture. Hong Kong is located next the Pearl River Delta, the Chinese mainland’s largest and most dynamic manufacturing region. And Hong Kong companies have unrivalled experience in doing business in China and managing supply chains to link the region to customers worldwide.
China is a rapidly developing market whose consumers have rising levels of disposable income. As a result, demand for a wide range of branded and licensed merchandise is growing.
The Hong Kong Trade Development Council organises the Hong Kong International Licensing Show, 11 – 13 January 2010. More details at
