A free seminar designed to help companies develop business in Hong Kong and China will be held at The Holiday Inn in Colchester on Thursday 8 March.
Entitled “Hong Kong and the Chinese Mainland come to Colchester”, the event is organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), UK Trade & Investment and Essex Chambers of Commerce.
Speakers will include HKTDC’s Director UK, Benelux & Ireland David Marsden; Chris Cotton of The China-Britain Business Council; Tom Fairley of law firm Taylor Vinters; and Steve Toogood of UK Trade & Investment.
The seminar will include a case study, and a presentation by HSBC on financial aspects of doing business with China. It will also promote a trade mission which is being organised to China in May 2012.
The event will commence with registration at 9.30 am on Thursday 8 March, and includes lunch.
“This is a great way for companies in Essex and the east of England to discover more about opportunities in the fast-growing markets of Asia, and to get first hand advice on the practicalities of doing business there,” said HKTDC’s David Marsden.
Participation in the event is free of charge, space is limited and registration is on the basis of first come, first served.
