Regional economic integration is on the cards as the Association of Southeast Asian Nations aims to establish the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) and become a single market by 2015. This session held during the 2013 Asian Logistics and Maritime Conference assessed the macroeconomic outlook for the maritime and logistics industries and analysed AEC’s impact on regional trade flows. It also addressed the implications of growing trade between China and ASEAN.
