Hong Kong’s jewellery brands enjoy an edge in China, especially in the second- and third-tier cities. According to HKTDC Economist Wenda Ma, mainland consumers think Hong Kong’s jewellery brands are innovative, trendy style, creative and good taste. Also, they are willing to pay a premium of 47% for Hong Kong jewellery brands, compared with mainland jewellery brands.
