More than 30 years since “Big Bird” first flapped into the hearts of kids in China, New York-based Sesame Workshop is finding new audiences for the character and his friends at a licensing industry event in Hong Kong. Strong partnerships with broadcasters, retailers and digital platforms such as Tencent have been critical, according to Maura Regan, Senior Vice President and General Manager for International Media at Sesame Workshop.
