Hong Kong is a key platform for both Mexican and Chinese companies to access each other’s markets according to Amapola Grijalva, Consultant, Mexico City, HKTDC. Mexico is increasingly looking to sell products to Asian consumers through Hong Kong and as a manufacturing base, Mexico also sources parts and components from China. Hong Kong is a connection hub between these two markets and Ms Grijalva explains that Mexico can play a similar role for Asian companies seeking access to Latin America.
