A series of focus group discussions conducted by HKTDC Research showed that, looks are increasingly important among middle class consumers, a development that has resulted in a greater willingness to undergo a wider variety of beauty treatments. There is growing demand for advanced automated treatments and medical beauty treatments. The consumption habits of male consumers are similar to those of their female peers. Male consumers, however, seem to attach greater importance to professionalism.
