Taube Hodson Stonex buys 16.46 mln shares of PICC Property

Taube Hodson Stonex Partners LLP, an independent fund management company based in London, on Oct. 30 raised its shareholding in PICC Property & Casualty Co<2328> to 5.1% from the 4.62% it held earlier, according to the bourse operator Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing<0388>.

HKEx said that the British fund manager on Friday bought 16.46 million shares of PICC Property for HK$95.97 million. The average share price of the deal was HK$5.83 apiece.

PICC Property, China’s largest non-life insurer in terms of premiums, earned RMB 95.72 billion in insurance premiums in the first nine months of this year, 17% more than in the same period of last year.

Shares of PICC property gained 2.09% to stand at HK$5.86 in the morning session today.
