- Intertek and IQTC Cooperate to Provide Solutions for China's Textile and Garment Import and Export Companies

Intertek Group (hereinafter as Intertek) and Guangdong Inspection and Quarantine Technology Center (hereinafter as IQTC) entered into agreement in April 2009 to jointly provide the value adding service of "One Testing and Two Reports" starting from May 2009.

With the Europe and the U.S. releasing export quota limitation on China made textiles, Chinese garment export should have entered a free trade era of "Borderless Trade" from Jan 1, 2009. However, occasionally the major importation countries, such as Europe and US, have product recalls, returns and claims for compensation. China's apparel exporting companies suffer great losses. The General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of the PRC accords great importance to the quality of export garments by strengthening supervision. Special inspections had been conducted on the quality of textile and garments in the year 2007, 2008 and 2009.
