Hong Kong International Wine and Spirits Fair  
   

WHAT: The event is a prime opportunity for exhibitors of wine, spirits and beer to gauge Asian, particularly on Chinese mainland, tastes and test consumer reaction to new products. The inaugural event last year drew 240 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions, and more than 8,700 trade visitors from 55 countries and regions, as well as more than 10,000 public visitors.

WHEN: 4-6 November 

WHO: Liquor and beverage products, as well as wine-related products, including premium food products, accessories and equipment, and services such as wine production and logistics, will exhibit at the fair.

WHY: The Asian market (excluding Japan) is forecast to double by 2012, reaching US$17 billion in value and rising by up to 20 per cent each year. 

The Hong Kong International Wine and Spirit competition will debut at this year's event, while wine tasting sessions will also be held.
