Heilongjiang to invest RMB 22 bln in railway construction
| China's northeastern Heilongjiang Province plans to invest RMB 22 billion this year in key railway projects for passenger transportation, the Shanghai Securities News reported.
The four key railway projects include two dedicated passenger lines, a railway station and a container center. With the addition of the Harbin-Dailan and Harbin-Qiqihar passenger lines, the railway network will be extended by 630 km.
Moreover, the province will also prepare for the beginning of the construction of three express railways within the year. Construction on the Tongjiang Bridge, which crosses the China-Russia border, may also begin this year.
