Fujian airports' 11-month air freight volume increases 8.8pc

Airports in south eastern China's Fujian province handled 346,500 tonnes of cargo from January to November, 8.8 per cent more compared to the same period in 2010, Xinhua reports.
Xiamen airport recorded a throughput of 235,200 tonnes, up 5.4 per cent. Fuzhou airport recorded 78,800 tonnes, up 19.5 per cent year on year.
In this period, the province's airports handled 23.5 million travellers, an increase of 14.9 per cent over the same period last year.
Xiamen airport's passenger throughput grew 10.1 per cent to 14.4 million. Fuzhou airport's passenger volume increased 11.1 per cent to 6.6 million.
