Introduction Guiyang High-tech Industrial Development Zone (Guiyang HIDZ) was approved by the State Council and established in 1992 as a state-level development zone.

Guiyang HIDZ consists of Jinyang Science and Technology Industry Park and Xintian Science and Technology Industry Park. Within these are Knowledge Economy Industrialization Base, Chip Components Industrial Park, Medicine Industrial Park, Guizhou Torch Software Park, Overseas Returnees Pioneering Park and Technology Business Incubator.
Investment Climate In 2008, Guiyang HIDZ realized a value-added industrial output of RMB 7.0 billion, accounting for 25.2% of the city’s total.

There are over 1,200 enterprises located in Guiyang HIDZ, including 19 foreign companies and 10 listed companies. Guiyang HIDZ’s major industries are new materials, advanced manufacturing, biopharmaceuticals and information technology. Representative enterprises include Guiyang Jinghua Electron Material, South Huitong, Guizhou Shenqi Pharmaceutical, Snecma and China Zhenhua (Group) Science & Technology.

Guiyang HIDZ plans to realize value-added industrial output of RMB 15 billion by 2012. In 2012, there will be three to five large companies with revenues of more than RMB 1.0 billion.
