Hunan provincial logistics value increases by 18.8pc in 2011

Hunan province's total logistics revenues amounted to CNY346.7 billion (US$54.85 billion) in 2011, 18.8 per cent more than in 2010 as the sector's added-value goods and services are expected to surpass CNY100 billion (US$158 million), Xinhua reports.

In 2010, Hunan recorded a logistics costs of CNY291.9 billion, up 20.9 per cent year on year. The logistics industry's added-value grew 22 per cent to CNY94.6 billion.

According to Hunan's logistics development plan, by the end of 2015, the province will achieve a logistics industry value of CNY5.5 trillion and a logistics industry added-value of CNY190 billion.

In addition, the province is expected to develop two or three logistics facilities that will generate annual revenues of over CNY5 billion, two or three with revenues of CNY2 billion, 15 with revenues of CNY1 billion, and 100 with revenues of over CNY100 million.
