The CPSC has announced the following recalls of products made in mainland China.
Bicycle Parts. Specialized Bicycle Components Inc. has recalled about 14,000 bicycles because the handlebars in these bicycles can break, posing a fall hazard to the rider. This recall involves HL handlebars on the following 2009 bikes: Cross Trail Comp, Myka HT Comp, Myka HT Elite, Rockhopper, Rockhopper Comp and Rockhopper Comp 29. The model number of the HL handlebar is ALR-13 NTFOV and is located underneath the right hand grip of the handlebar. These bikes were sold by authorised dealers nationwide from June 2008 through February 2009.

Toaster Oven/Broilers. Haier America Trading LLC is recalling some 106,000 toaster oven/broilers because electrical connections in these products can become loose, posing electrical shock and burn hazards. This recall involves stainless steel and black plastic toaster oven/broilers with model number RTO1400SS. "Haier" is printed on the front and the model number is printed on a label on the back of the toaster oven/broilers. These products were sold at mass merchandisers and specialty retailers nationwide from September 2006 through January 2009.

Cups. Under Armour Inc. has issued a recall for some 211,000 athletic cups because they can break if hit, posing a risk of serious injury hazard to users. This recall involves all athletic cups that have the Under Armour logo, including adult, teen and youth sizes. The cups were sold individually and as part of a set with compression, slider or jock shorts. They were sold at sporting goods stores and Under Armour outlets nationwide and at www.underarmour.com from January 2006 through March 2009.

Toys. DND Imports has announced a recall of approximately 50 dinosaur play sets because the surface paint on the monkey figure in these play sets contains excessive levels of lead. This recall involves the "Dinosaur Era 2 Hunting Dinosaur" play set. Each play set contains a dinosaur, a helicopter, trees, a hunter, a monkey and various hunting equipment. These toys were sold at DND Trading in Los Angeles throughout December 2008.

Children's Coats. Gap Inc. has recalled about 19,200 children's coats in the United States and approximately 3,900 children's coats in Canada because they have toggle fasteners that could break and detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. This recall involves three different children's coat styles with toggles, including Rose Toggle Hoodie (style 600298), Pink Duffle Coat (style 600344), and Blue Plaid and Mojave Toggle Coat (style 600942). These coats were sold in infant sizes up to 24 months and are made of cotton, polyester or polyester/acrylic. The toggles are light tan plastic and about 1.75 inches long. The recalled coats were manufactured in mainland China and Indonesia and were sold at babyGap, GapKids and Gap Stores nationwide and at www.gap.com from October 2008 through April 2009.

Popcorn Machines. DTX International (doing business as Great American Popcorn Co.) has issued a recall for approximately 220 popcorn machines because the heating element of the popcorn machine's warming deck can remain on after being switched off, posing a burn hazard to users. This recall involves the "Pasadena," "Princeton" and "Paducah" eight-ounce popcorn machines, which were sold on-line at Discount Tommy and Great American Popcorn Company from September 2008 through October 2008.

Cribs. Jardine Enterprises has announced a recall of some 96,000 cribs (320,000 units were previously recalled in June 2008 and 56,450 units were recalled in January 2009) because the wooden crib slats can break, creating a gap and posing entrapment and strangulation hazards to infants and toddlers. This recall involves the following seven models of Jardine wooden cribs.

Girls' Raincoats. Pumpkin Patch LLC has recalled about 800 girls' hooded raincoats because they have a drawstring through the hood, which poses a strangulation hazard to children. This recall involves the Pumpkin Patch hooded raincoat with drawstrings in girls sizes two through 10. The raincoat is a trench coat style and is red with pink polka-dots. They were sold at Pumpkin Patch stores nationwide and on-line at www.pumpkinpatchusa.com from July 2008 through February 2009.
