PetroChina mulls 2nd Guangxi refining project
| PetroChina<601857><857>, the country's largest oil producer, is seeking approval from China's National Development and Reform Commission to build an oil refining plant with an estimated annual output of 10 million tons in Qinzhou, Guangxi Province, sources reported.
This second refining plant in Guangxi will include storage facilities for 1 million tons of aromatic hydrocarbon, oil terminals for 3 million tons of crude oil and 1 million tons of oil products.
PetroChina's first Guangxi oil refining plant, which cost RMB 15.3 billion, has annual oil output of 10 million tons and owns 10 units of production equipment.
Reportedly, PetroChina also plans to build an oil refining plant in Jieyang, Guangdong Province.
