Inner Mongolia's Jan-Feb raw coal output first in China

Inner Mongolia, one of China's autonomous regions, recorded raw coal yield of 80.69 million tons in the first two months of this year, a year-on-year increase of 25.6%, topping China in raw coal output for the first time, sources reported.

Last year, the coal yield of Inner Mongolia totaled 467 million tons, of which 247 million tons were sold out of the region.

At the end of last year, the region had 606 collieries, and average annual yield reached 800,000 tons per coal mine.

By 2010, Inner Mongolia plans to hit 60 million kilowatts in installed power capacity, to reach 500 million tons of coal output and to achieve 1.2 million tons of kerosene production.
