Port of Nantong throughput increases 14.5pc in first eight months

Eastern China's Port of Nantong moved 113.9 million tonnes of cargo and 366,900 TEU in the first eight months, recording over 100 million-tonne throughput annually for six years consecutively, reports Xinhua.
The cargo throughput grew 14.5 per cent year on year, accounting for 71 per cent of the port's annual target. The port's throughput is expected to reach 170 million tonnes and 500,000 TEU by the end of this year.
