Trade with Asian economies has become a key focus for the United States, and Washington sees Hong Kong as a “great partner,” according to senior US Commerce Department official Francisco Sánchez.
On a visit to Hong Kong in May 2013 - the Under Secretary of Commerce for International Trade confirmed his plans to join Think Asia, Think Hong Kong promotional events in New York and LA in June, and offered an update on the Pacific Bridge Initiative set up with the HKTDC.
