Counting Down to AFF 2011
The Asian Financial Forum (AFF) 2011 will welcome some of the world's most influential financial and business leaders to Hong Kong for insightful exchanges and intelligence-gathering on economic opportunities. For the 17-18 January event, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council is conducting video interviews with key speakers, covering a range of topics including Asia’s new global economic role, implications of renminbi internationalisation, and how “green” can become a new growth engine.

Hong Kong is a perfect "bridge" between growing Asian economies and commodity producers such as Russia, said Oleg Mukhamedshin of aluminium giant UC Rusal, at the Asian Financial Forum. Following its listing in Hong Kong, the deputy CEO of Rusal says the company plans to use Hong Kong's debt market for future financing.
