Manufacturers watch safeguards
US safeguard measures on China-made garments could follow the special tariff on Mainland tyres, says HKTDC Assistant Chief Economist Daniel Poon. Such a measure could force exporters to consider diversifying markets and expediting orders, he says in presenting a new HKTDC Research report on global protectionism.
