Offering everything from crisp champagne to costly cognac, exhibitors turned out in record numbers in Hong Kong for the HKTDC Hong Kong International Wine & Spirits Fair. Held 3-5 November at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, the event is growing in response to rising demand in Asia, where wine consumption is expected to double to about US$27 billion by 2017, and Hong Kong's role as trading and distribution centre since it removed wine duties in Feb 2008.
