Author and filmmaker Hannah Rothschild says she was inspired to write by the story of her great aunt who caused a “scandal” when she “ran off” with jazz musician Thelonius Monk. Ms Rothschild spoke to Sir David Tang in this interview ahead of their appearance with fellow writers Wilbur Smith and Simon Winchester at a 22 July 2016 Open Public Forum during the HKTDC Hong Kong Book Fair. The fair runs 20-26 July at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.
