Bank of China Hong Kong (BOCHK) has been the Diamond Sponsor of the Belt and Road Summit for three consecutive years. Its parent company Bank of China (BOC) takes an active role in cultivating the markets along the Belt and Road, providing financial services and funding support for infrastructure projects. At the Belt and Road Summit 2018, Dr E Zhihuan, Chief Economist of Bank of China (Hong Kong) revealed that the BOC aims to penetrate 50% of the Belt and Road market.
