Hungary’s strategy of diversifying its economy fits with its alignment on the Belt and Road Initiative, says the country’s Minister of State for Financial Policy Affairs. Speaking beside the event, Gábor Gion says the co-operative development with China of the Budapest to Belgrade railway sits with Hungary’s north-south connectivity in Eastern Europe, while Hungary can learn from Hong Kong in creating a “China gateway to Europe”.
