Established in 2006, World Fancy Limited designs and manufactures decorative picture mirrors, which are ordered as corporate gifts, collectible items and interior decorations. Its newly launched product, LED decorative picture mirror, has LED technology integrated into the original mirror to produce animated lighting effect, making it the same eye-catching in the dark.
"We have obtained patent for our mirrors, they are mainly used for brand promotion and advertising. Our clients include brand owners and the licensees of football, basketball and baseball teams, sports stars, celebrities, multinationals, race cars, beer, etc", elaborated Mr. Simon Chan and Mr. Stephen Yim, World Fancy's Co-founders and Directors.
With a blueprint to develop its retail business and build its distribution network, it has been looking for suitable licensors who could grant World Fancy licensing rights in Hong Kong, the Chinese Mainland, the US and Europe, where are its target markets.
Riding on the HKTDC Business Matching service, World Fancy have specified his business needs to TDC in advance of the visit to the HKTDC International Licensing Show. Under the professional matching, they were recommended to meet with a handful of exhibitors for in-depth discussion. Chan and Yim were able to study the character portfolios of these potential partners before the meetings while his requirements and business background are explained to the exhibitors by TDC. With such foundation laid down, much could be attained in just one afternoon's time.
"During the discussion, we found out two possible ways of collaboration. On one side we want to be the licensee to apply the brand to our mirrors and sell it in the retail market on our own, on the other side we can design mirrors using the LED technology for their other brands to expand their product spectrum. We can have a win-win cooperation", Chan opined positively.
