Though incorporated for just one year, AZtroni Ltd actually embraces over 15 years of manufacturing experience in electronic games, working mostly on OEM orders for US and European retailers and chain stores.

 

"We had been focusing on the middle to low-end game market but found it too competitive to just compete on price; therefore we decided to find our niche by developing our own products and has started AZtroni which takes charge of Research & Development as well as sales and marketing," said manager Teddy Cheung.

 

AZtroni has developed a novel projector game which was also showcased at the recently-held HKTDC Hong Kong Toys & Games Fair. Under the arrangement of the HKTDC Business Matching Service, Mr. Cheung met with some licensing companies at the Licensing Show held concurrently at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre.

 

"We will be churning out more new products and hope to apply some characters onto them. Since we are totally unfamiliar with the licensing business, the matching arrangement does help us a great deal in making the right connection and understanding the rules of the game," noted Mr. Cheung.

 

Indeed, through communicating with these potential partners, Mr. Cheung has learnt about the detailed parts of conducting licensing business, such as the calculation of royalty fees, the different ways of collaboration, and the procedures to conclude an agreement.

 

Mr. Cheung further noted it was perfect to have the business matching meetings arranged during these fairs.

 

"While opening my eyes to a world of licensing merchandise, I can at the same time discuss with these industry players, this makes my visit here really efficient and fruitful. Undoubtedly, I'll consider recommending this tailor-made business matching service to other companies," he concluded.
