Mr Stephen Wong received a B.A. Degree in Economics from the University of Chicago, Phi Beta Kappa, and an M.A. Degree in East Asian Studies (Whitney and Betty MacMillan Center for International and Area Studies) from Yale University. Since then, he worked for a number of global financial institutions, including as an Executive Director in UBS (London) and a Managing Director at RBS.

Mr. Wong’s public service includes various advisory roles appointed by the Hong Kong Government, including Committee Member of the Financial Services Development Council, Sub-committee Co-opt Member of the Sustainable Development Council, and Member of Investment Committee of the Beat Drugs Fund. Mr Wong is also active in community service. He is Chairman of the Clean Air Network and Vice Chairman of the Budget and Allocation Committee of the Community Chest. Mr. Wong is also an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Hong Kong University SPACE for the Institute for China Business.

She first started as an i-banker doing market analysis and asset management consultation for over 4 years. Then joined an early-staged startup in Hong Kong called Ubuyibuy which was a group buying platform offering discounts to customers. The company was later acquired by Groupon and Juliette stayed at Groupon HK as their VP after the acquisition for building and growing to more verticals outside of Daily Deals, like Travel and Products. She was with Groupon until their IPO on Nasdaq in 2011 before joining LivingSocial as the head of sales in Asia. In the new company she was overlooking the operation of 5 countries in Asia which were Philippine, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia and South Korea. She was a very hands on person setting out sales and outlining strategies along with strengthening the company’s regional partnership and market share in different countries.

After growing LivingSocial to dominating the Thailand and Philippine market with more than 90% market share, she left to Bangkok and joined Cdiscount Thailand(part of Cnova) - now the No. 4 e-commerce pure-player in the world. As a founding team member and also as Chief Revenue officer for Cdiscount, she grew the e-commerce site from earning 0 bahts to achieving 400 millions bahts monthly sales within 11 months. The company Cnova was later listed on Nasdaq in December 2014 and become the #2 biggest e-commerce site in Thailand with more 110 employees. In 2016, Cdiscount Thailand was later sold to Big C for an estimated 70 Million USD.

Ms Margaret Fong is the Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) since 1 October 2014. With a global network of over 40 offices, Ms Fong heads this international team whose mission is to create and facilitate opportunities in global trade for Hong Kong-based companies. She joined the HKTDC in 2010 as Deputy Executive Director, responsible for the international promotion of Hong Kong’s product and service industries and the Council’s office network worldwide.

Ms Fong has worked in a variety of public service posts, beginning her career as an Administrative Officer with the Hong Kong Government. From 1997 to 1999, she served as Deputy Director-General in the Washington Economic and Trade Office of the Hong Kong SAR Government.

She was Deputy Secretary for Transport from 1999 to 2004, Director-General of the Washington Economic and Trade Office from 2004 to 2006, and Commissioner for Economic and Trade Affairs, USA, from 2006 to 2008, representing the Hong Kong SAR Government in the United States. Before joining the HKTDC, Ms Fong was the Commissioner for Tourism from November 2008 to the end of 2009. She is a graduate of the University of Hong Kong.

Ms Fong is a member of the Working Group on Convention and Exhibition Industries and Tourism under the Economic Development Commission, the Aviation Development and Three-runway System Advisory Committee, the Hong Kong Maritime Industry Council, the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Board, the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council, the Hong Kong Tourism Board, and the Financial Services Development Council.
