Adrian Kingwell is the founder and CEO of Mezzo Labs, the UK’s largest digital analytics consultancy. He is also the MD of Uplifter Ltd., a tech start-up that uses AI to help companies improve the performance of their digital channels.

Adrian’s commercial background is in software sales and marketing, having worked at Oracle and GE as well as several US and UK start-ups.

But his heart was always set on building his own enterprise, and so in 2006, he started Mezzo Labs.

Thirteen years later, he has built a highly successful business with offices in London and Hong Kong, that leads the world in Digital Intelligence – the use of marketing data to help brands not only understand customers better, but also to fuel “hyper-personalised customer experiences”, offering better content promotions, and real-time suggestions for add-ons and cross-sells.

An avid reader with a degree in English Literature from Loughborough University, Adrian gets his entrepreneurial inspiration as much from fiction as from the real world, from Kerouac and Hemingway as much as from Seth Godin and Malcolm Gladwell. “Original thinking doesn’t come from what everyone else is reading.”

A proud father and husband, Adrian is also mad about old-school film photography and loves using classic Leicas and Rolleiflexes. While his business world is 100% digital, his personal life is still very analogue.

During his time as the founder of an eCommerce system integrator, Joseph was involved directly or indirectly with over 100 eCommerce projects for Fortune 1000 companies. These included strategic growth and transformation initiatives for companies such as Sony, DIAGEO, and Taiwan’s leading e-Tailers.

Joseph has always been attracted to startups able to foresee industry megatrends. In Joseph’s own words, “I believe in Megatrends. The last two decades saw the rise of eCommerce as a way of conducting business. The next two decades and beyond belong to companies who are courageous enough to transform their organizations into platform businesses.” During his tenure at ATG, Joseph helped build North American sales resulting in the acquisition by Oracle for USD1 billion. At hybris Software, Joseph worked to increase sales from single-digit millions to global sales of over USD100 million. Hybris was subsequently acquired by SAP for USD1.5 billion. Joseph is committed to the vision that one day every company will become a platform business.

Outside of work, Joseph enjoys time with his wife and his son who is currently attending university. Joseph is currently based in Toronto, Canada but the expansion of Mirakl into APAC will no doubt bring Joseph and his family to Asia frequently (if not permanently), an adventure the food-loving family is greatly looking forward to.

Being the Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of PUC Berhad (“PUC”), Mr Cheong oversees the operations and business direction across PUC’s core business areas and subsidiaries. As a leader who spans a breadth of technologies and businesses to contribute to the digital ecosystem in Malaysia, PUC’s investment into the established online marketplace, PrestoMall (formerly 11street Malaysia) in June 2018 further sees the appointment of Mr Cheong taking the helm as the Chief Executive Officer.

Mr Cheong started his first venture with GeoFoto Pte Ltd in 1999 as Co-Founder and Chief Architect where he developed system architecture and marketed imaging technology with his alma mater, National University of Singapore (“NUS”). He subsequently designed a state-of-the-art online photo printing system which was sold to Fujifilm in 2001.

His passion led him to be the Founder and Managing Director of Pictureworks Holdings Sdn. Bhd. and its subsidiary companies (collectively known as “PW Group”), which serves 100 million smiles annually across 13 countries. Mr Cheong was awarded the EY Entrepreneur of The Year 2018TM Singapore Award under Media & Lifestyle category.

Prior to this, he was with Systems@Work Pte Ltd (which was acquired by Wirecard). As the Business Solutions Director, he led a team in planning and development of large scale payment systems and innovative payment products including mobile applications to meet the growing demands of Malaysia’s online ePayments ecosystem.

Mr Cheong graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science with Honours and has a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from NUS.

Before working for Blibli.com, Desey worked for other retail companies for both online and offline. Mrs Bungsu is also well experienced in building online retail companies from zero to a profitable running business. She has been a regular speaker for other occasions for many years now.

Michio Takahashi joined McKinsey & Company Inc Japan in 2007, after graduating from the University of Tokyo. Working as a top management consultant for over 5 years, he had worked mainly around the marketing strategy in technology field and the organizational operational efficiency improvement.

After leaving the firm, he joined Otobank. Inc, a Tokyo-based startup in the field of audiobook publishing and online distribution. He served as a General Manager of Marketing and Development, playing a pivotal role in expanding the audiobook market in Japan and the company’s online audiobook service for consumers.

In 2014, he moved to Rakuten, as a Principal at CEO Office. After working closely with the founder CEO for several strategic initiatives, he was assigned to a business manager of Cross Border Business, which is a rapidly-growing field in EC business by allowing global consumers to buy various Japanese products. Since then, he’s been leading the team, which is based in Tokyo, Shanghai, and Hong Kong, to drive the growth of cross-border business.

Louis graduated from CUHK Computer Science and is a partner of a local software company, RedSo. He established the first local partnership with Google Cloud Platform in 2013 and have already been in the cloud computing field for more than 10 years. Starting from 2018, he has been a part-time lecturer for blockchain related courses, promoting the blockchain technology via education. As the blockchain technology is becoming an overwhelming subject, he was interviewed by the media, to provide professional comment on general IT and also blockchain related aspects. In 2019, he made the first radio programme on RTHK, focusing only on blockchain in the RTHK radio channel. In the 13 episodes, he invited professionals from different industries to discuss how blockchain technology could be applied in logistics, entertainment, finance, medical fields.

Mr Wu has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry. Prior to joining SAP, Mr Wu was Sales Director of Digital Marketing Solutions at Adobe, Greater China and CRM OnDemand at Oracle. Before Oracle, Mr Wu was Vice President of Business Development at BroadVision, responsible for business operations and management in the Greater China region. The nature of running the business has enabled Mr Wu to familiarize himself with comprehensive theoretical and practical management skills. Furthermore, he has given keynote speeches about employee relationship management and innovative thinking, new modes of team management, sales and marketing management, management practices and more.

Prior to joining BroadVision, Mr Wu was Business Development Director of Asia Pacific at Sygate and TriCipher.
