Miki Yamamoto joined IMG to develop its sports licensing portfolio in Asia. For the past 18 years, Miki has extended its licensing business in Asia, and is now managing a variety of IPs spanning sports, corporate trademarks, fashion, lifestyle and entertainment.

Today Miki manages all of Asian market including Japan, Korea, China mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Southeast Asia. She has diversified and expanded IMG’s Asian licensing business to cover entertainment and lifestyle clients including Twentieth Century Fox, Media Rights Capital, MGM, Sesame Street, Care Bears, Joyrich, Been Trill, and Beyond Closet.

She began her career in 1989 working with the Peanuts brand at United Media. There, she developed a variety of unique licensing programs in Japan, including Snoopy Town and the Snoopy in Fashion Exhibition. After United Media, Yamamoto moved onto Calvin Klein, where she managed more than 200 retail locations in Japan, as well as high-end licensing programs in categories such as home and fragrances.

Vikram Sharma leads Cartoon Network Enterprises (CNE), Turner’s licensing and merchandising division in Asia Pacific.

An experienced professional in the consumer products and retail space, he is tasked with driving the business across the whole region for its branded FMCG, apparel, toys, home entertainment, publishing and lifestyle products.

Major franchises and IP under CNE’s management from Cartoon Network’s portfolio of original shows including Ben 10, We Bare Bears, Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball and The Powerpuff Girls, as well as Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty.

His remit also includes the management of Tuzki, the digital rabbit IP and emoticon-of-choice in China and beyond. In South Asia, CNE also represents the Warner Bros. Consumer Products business.

Before joining Turner, Mr Sharma held various key positions in Disney across Asia including Singapore and India. He’s a proven commercial leader with successful stints in overall P&L management, and in different aspects of sales and distribution, with a special focus on retail, FMCG products and franchise monetization.

Andrew Carley has worked at Entertainment One (eOne) since 2007 as EVP Global Licensing. During that time, he has helped drive the Peppa Pig licensing business from a retail sales value of approximately $30 million to a $1 billion global business. In that time, he has grown his team from 3 based in the UK to a team of more than 100 based in offices in New York, Melbourne, Hong Kong and Brazil as well as London. He has also overseen the global roll out of the PJ Masks licensing programme which over the past 2 years has seen extraordinary success in all key markets around the world. His approach to planning, launching and developing licensing programmes is always to develop long term campaigns underpinned with similarly aligned partners. Key to the success is creating fully integrated programmes encompassing licensing, product development marketing and TV development and distribution. A notable point is a focus on not only ensuring steady income from licensing revenues but also on ensuring children and their parents overall experience of our properties whether it is through the TV, on line, via product or through experiential activity is both memorable and enjoyable. Such an approach has helped eOne’s properties become both sustainable and long term.

Ms Ao assumed responsibility of the founding and research and development of the Animation Brand of Legends of the Three Kingdoms and its animated card game.

In 2016, she joined Yi Jian Yu Zhou (Beijing) Culture Co., Ltd and took the lead of the licensing business of the company. Apart from that, she played a role in the founding of Wuhuang Wanshui.

She has taken charge of plentiful licensing cases with popular brands around the world, such as Watsons, COFCO Joy City Property Limited, Yili, Innisfree and Bayer. By cooperating with more than 20 companies from the Global 500, the company grew rapidly and became the animation brand with the highest commercial and traffic value in 2017.

In the meantime, her team has won various prestigious awards in the licensing sector, such as LIMA China – 2018 China Intellectual Property of the Year, 2018 Thematic Experiential Initiative Licensing Program, 2018 Licensed Promotion and in 2017 CLE China Up-and-coming Intellectual Property, TOPKLOUT the Most Commercially Valuable Intellectual Property and Golden Mouse Digital Marketing Awards – Gold Award of Viral Marketing.

Mr. James Song, who joined Mengniu Group in May 2013, is currently General Manager of the Market Management Center under the Group’s Room Temperature Milk Division, responsible for sales and marketing of room temperature milk products and brands under Mengniu. The main product categories and brands he is responsible for are: premium quality milk Milk Deluxe, professional children's milk Future Star, for adults and elderly Awakening Youth Milk, lactose-free functional milk XinYangDao, China’s first milk product of source traceable Prime Ranch Pure Milk, flavored milk and white milk, among others.

With 20 years’ experience in the field of Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Mr. Song is shrewd in product development, brand management and all facets of marketing and sales. He previously worked for such companies as P&G, Nestle and Ariston, holding R&D, brand, and marketing and sales management positions. At P&G, having led the R&D team in innovation and achieving breakthroughs for Tide products, he was appointed head of R&D for Tide in developing countries in the Asia Pacific region. At Nestle, he looked after the infant food business and brands of the company’s nutrition business and led Gerber-related mergers and acquisitions in China. Since joining Mengniu, Mr. Song has managed concrete achievements with the brands and products under his care, like leading his team in coming up with differentiated positioning and R&D of products, carrying out innovative digital brand marketing and opening up market for new products.Mr. Song holds a Master's Degree in Applied Chemistry from the Harbin Institute of Technology.

In his spare time, Mr. Song likes long-distance running. He believes in "focusing on the present and staying abreast of trends, embracing continuous learning and aiming for breakthrough every day to foster growth of the individual and team", a principle he has upheld throughout his career.
