She has taken charge of plentiful licensing cases with popular brands around the world, such as Watsons, COFCO Joy City Property Limited, Yili, Innisfree and Bayer. By cooperating with more than 20 companies from the Global 500, the company grew rapidly and became the animation brand with the highest commercial and traffic value in 2017.

In the meantime, her team has won various prestigious awards in the licensing sector, such as LIMA China – 2018 China Intellectual Property of the Year, 2018 Thematic Experiential Initiative Licensing Program, 2018 Licensed Promotion and in 2017 CLE China Up-and-coming Intellectual Property, TOPKLOUT the Most Commercially Valuable Intellectual Property and Golden Mouse Digital Marketing Awards – Gold Award of Viral Marketing.

Mr. Bai has 12 years’ experience in the field of dairy product and nutritional foods, and is well-versed in product and brand management, and marketing and sales operation. Before joining the Group, he had worked for Yili Group, Shengyuan International, Mengniu Oushi, responsible for brand related work. At Mengniu, he championed efforts on brand repositioning, product package upgrade, company resources integration, cross-sector marketing and other key initiatives, helping boosted the brand power and competiveness of many of the Group’s products allowing them to achieve breakthrough sales.

Mr. Bai graduated from the Lee Shau Kee School of Business and Management, the Open University of Hong Kong with a Master's Degree in Business Administration. Susan began her licensing career at BBC Worldwide managing in-house pre-school brands as part of the Global Brand Development team before going on to Italian publishing house, DeAgostini where she co-ordinated global product roll-outs for brands such as STAR WARS and THE LORD OF THE RINGS franchises. Prior to joining Penguin Random House Susan spent almost 10 years at award-winning global licensing agency, CPLG, as European Publishing Director representing some of Hollywood’s biggest studios including Universal Pictures, Paramount Pictures, and DreamWorks Animation and across blockbuster movie franchises such as DESPICABLE ME, SHREK and STAR TREK . Susan played a pivotal role in setting up Penguin Ventures (part of Penguin Random House UK) the team she heads up in her current position as Licensing and Consumer Products Director. She has a remit to grow the children’s divisions wholly owned brands including PETER RABBIT and THE SNOWMAN, both in the UK and internationally identifying opportunities for the licensing and consumer products programme and devising strategies across live events, digital, media and film. Susan was most recently an executive producer on the Peter Rabbit Movie, which took over $350m at the global box office.

He had served in various policy bureaux and departments, including the former Finance Branch, the Home Affairs Department, the former City and New Territories Administration, the former Government House, the former Industry Department, the former Trade Department, the Financial Secretary’s Office, the Judiciary and the Central Policy Unit. He became Commissioner for Labour in January 1999, the Director of Education in June 2000 and Permanent Secretary for Economic Development and Labour in July 2002. He was Secretary for Labour and Welfare from July 2007 to January 2017.

Ms Margaret Fong is the Executive Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) since 1 October 2014. With a global network of 50 offices, Ms Fong heads this international team whose mission is to create and facilitate opportunities in global trade for Hong Kong-based companies. She joined the HKTDC in 2010 as Deputy Executive Director, responsible for the international promotion of Hong Kong’s product and service industries and the Council’s office network worldwide.

Ms Fong has worked in a variety of public service posts, beginning her career as an Administrative Officer with the Hong Kong Government. From 1997 to 1999, she served as Deputy Director-General in the Washington Economic and Trade Office of the Hong Kong SAR Government.

She was Deputy Secretary for Transport from 1999 to 2004, Director-General of the Washington Economic and Trade Office from 2004 to 2006, and Commissioner for Economic and Trade Affairs, USA, from 2006 to 2008, representing the Hong Kong SAR Government in the United States. Before joining the HKTDC, Ms Fong was the Commissioner for Tourism from November 2008 to the end of 2009. She is a graduate of the University of Hong Kong.

Ms Fong is a member of the Aviation Development and Three-runway System Advisory Committee, the Hong Kong Maritime Industry Council, the Hong Kong Maritime and Port Board, the Hong Kong Logistics Development Council, the Hong Kong Tourism Board, and the Financial Services Development Council.

Eric is also involved in the not for profit Chinese Indie Game Association, dedicated to helping Independent Game Developers in China reach global audiences. CiGA holds the annual WePlay fan game convention in Shanghai. He also helps to save stray dogs.

Yusan Lee is the Executive Director of Jimmy S.P.A. Co., Ltd. and Jimmy S.P.A. Plus Co., Ltd.. Yusan met the picture book author Jimmy Liao when she worked at a book publishing house. Yusan then founded Jimmy S.P.A. in 2000 as the exclusive agent of Jimmy Liao. Under her leadership, the company has successfully cultivated Jimmy’s creations into a cultural brand. Jimmy’s work has been transformed into motion pictures, stage shows, music albums, public installations, merchandise etc., through creative and innovative strategies, crossover marketing campaigns, and thereby creating exceptional added-value to the original picture books.

In 2004, Yusan was the executive producer of the animated short film “A Fish with a Smile”. Since 2008, Yusan and the company have launched exhibitions in Mainland China, Hong Kong and Taiwan, with themes including “Never Ending Story”, “The Starry Starry Night” and “How to Own a Corner”. She was responsible for the overall planning of the Dream Theater of the Pavilion of Dreams at the 2010 Taipei International Flora Exposition. In 2011, she was the co-producer of the motion picture “Starry Starry Night”.

Since 2013, Yusan has completed numerous public art installations projects, leading the brand to forge links with the local tourism industry. In 2014, Jimmy S.P.A. brand concept store, the “Never Ending Story”, was established. It is a new kind of shop concept which incorporates exhibition installation, product design and dining experience. In 2015, Yusan brought the brand to new heights by participating the Echigo-Tsumari Art Triennale in Japan, gaining valuable experiences about organizing international art festivals, at the same time enabling Jimmy’s works and the brand to reenter the Japanese market, paving the way for future developments.

In 2016, Yusan led the team in a project collaboration with HTC’s innovative virtual reality system – HTC Vive, in turning Jimmy’s picture book “All of My World is You” into a virtual reality experience. Four scenes from the book was rendered in a virtual world, enabling the readers to step into Jimmy’s imagination world and interact with the characters. The project was first launched at the Frankfurt International Book Fair and consequently exhibited in 2017 in many other exhibitions with great success. The experience was also showcased at HTC VIVELAND Taipei.

In 2018, Jimmy S.P.A. Plus teamed up with the Eslite bookstore to launch the “Jimmy Liao 20th Anniversary Exhibition: All of My World Is You” in four cities – Taipei, Suzhou, Hong Kong and Shenzhen, receiving an enthusiastic response from the public.

Anita has been a legal practitioner for over 25 years, advising both local and multinational companies on the full spectrum of contentious and non-contentious intellectual property and information technology matters, including but not limited to mergers, acquisition and commercialization of IP assets, internal IP audits, pre-IPO due diligence, joint ventures, research collaboration, licensing, franchising and distribution. She provides clients with strategic brand integrity programs involving regional and cross-border enforcements at all levels, litigating on copyright, trademark, design and patent disputes. Anita also assists clients on data privacy and cybersecurity issues, both locally and regionally, and the development and execution of diverse legal initiatives to manage the legal risks faced by companies in the Greater China and Asia Pacific regions, including portfolio management, product regulatory and compliance issues.

She is also an accredited mediator (general). Prior to joining David Lo and Partners as a consultant, Anita was a partner with Jones Day, an international law firm in Hong Kong.

Anita sits on the BIP Asia Forum Steering Committee of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Board of Directors of Kids4Kids Limited, a non-profit organization in Hong Kong. Rebecca holds office in a number of international professional associations in the IP field and serves on the Intellectual Property Committee of The Law Society of Hong Kong, the Council of Asian Patent Attorneys Association (“APAA”) as well as the Council of APAA Hong Kong Group, holding the office of President. She was Founder Chairman of Licensing Executive Society China Hong Kong Sub-Chapter and is now a member of the Council of the said society. Rebecca is also a member of the Council of the Hong Kong Society of Notaries.

Major franchises and IP under CNE’s management from Cartoon Network’s portfolio of original shows including Ben 10, We Bare Bears, Adventure Time, The Amazing World of Gumball and The Powerpuff Girls, as well as Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty.

Kenny Wong has practised for over 30 years and received over 100 awards as a leading IP practitioner in Hong Kong and China. He also practises franchise law advising clients on setting up franchised operations in Hong Kong and the PRC, and has a niche gaming and entertainment practice acting for gaming operators, A-list artistes, film directors, film production companies and record companies.

Besides his busy practice, Kenny is also a seasoned lecturer and has delivered more than a 100 lectures, seminars and presentations to judges, enforcement officers, lawyers, enterprises, universities and members of the public on IP and IT subjects in Hong Kong, China, Singapore, Malaysia, Japan, the Philippines and the United States. He is also an Adjunct Associate Professor of the University of Hong Kong and has taught courses on Cybercrime and Intellectual Property.

Kenny publishes extensively too. He co-authored Intellectual Property Law and Practice in Hong Kong, a recommended text by the three universities in Hong Kong which offer IP courses. He is also the co-author of the IP chapters in the tort reference book - Tort Law & Practice in Hong Kong. He also wrote the Intellectual Property Audit and Due Diligence and Intellectual Property Licensing booklets which were published jointly by the Government Intellectual Property Department and the Law Society of Hong Kong in 2017 for free distribution.

Kenny serves on various professional committees, including the IP Committee of the Law Society of Hong Kong, and comments on the IP laws and practice of Hong Kong regularly. He is an honorary legal adviser of Wai Yin Association - a charitable organisation set up by Miss Hong Kongs, an executive committee member of First Initiative Foundation - a charity which promotes and supports the arts, music and designs of Hong Kong, and the honorary legal adviser of Hear Talk Foundation which serves under-privilege community especially children and the elderly in Hong Kong and Mainland China with hearing impairment and speech disorders. He is the Chairman of the Appeal Panel of the Urban Renewal Authority and a member of the appeal panels of the Town Planning Board and the Home Purchase Allowance Appeals Committee. He also serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Copyright Tribunal.
