Today the company employs around 6,000 people across 6 production facilities in Germany, Portugal, the Czech Republic, India, Canada and China. The company reported a consolidated turnover in 1997 of over DM600 million.
Groz-Beckert has a world-wide distribution centre and supplies over 125 markets throughout the world. Its customers are found in the knitting, sewing, felting, tufting and leather industry. With the production of so-called Ceramic Punching Components (CPC) within the range of hard metal precision parts Groz-Beckert launched a new product in 1997. Groz-Beckert maintains marketing companies in all leading European countries, as well as in the USA, Mexico, Japan and Hong Kong. Groz-Beckert records of over 60,000 different types of needles whereby approximately 15,000 different types in quantities of many hundreds of million are shipped annually.
